what are the advantages of taking resveratrol?

Posted by admin on Mar 31, 2009 in Main Content

Resveratrol is a new anti aging product that you may have heard about on Oprah’s show. Of course, before you buy into something like this, you need to know what the resveratol health benefits are. According to some scientists, resveratrol isn’t just useful at helping you live longer. It has some elements that can (potentially) reduce the risk of cancer and give you a higher metabolic rate and increased energy. As of now, we are still waiting for the verdict on how well it really works. But there is certainly a lot of evidence. It has been known for quite a while that red wine, in moderation, has certain health benefits, and resveratrol is primarily found in red wine.

Before you take any of this stuff, though, you of course need to know about the recommended resveratrol dosage you should be taking. If you buy resveratrol from any reputable source, then it should tell you right on the bottle. How much you should take will also depend on your age and overall health, so you should probably see a doctor about that also.

One of the main places to buy resveratrol is from sirtris. As it turns out, sirtris pharmaceuticals resveratrol is the main product supplier for this stuff, so you should probably just go with them. Other newer products are HealthRezv and maxrezv. Before you buy anything, you can search for a review of the product.

NB: Always consult a doctor before taking any medical advice online.

Important information concerning starting up a home-based business.

Posted by admin on Mar 31, 2009 in Main Content

Due to the recent rapidly increasing downturn in the economy many more individuals are entertaining the idea of starting an internet business. Individuals finally realize salary based income is not stable and to really experience economic security they have to take matters into their own hands.

Sadly a lot of people think a packaged business kit is better than learning the core aspects of running a web-based business.

Although it’s definitely possible to be successful with a packaged business kit, it is usually not the best approach. You may never fully recover the original money you put into buying a turnkey system  because will be the identical system thousands of other people are attempting to run as their business.

In reality mastering the basics of operating a profitable a web business gives you the opportunity to generate income in places few people try or make money in mass markets by using a new approach.

Work from Home

Posted by admin on Mar 30, 2009 in Main Content

Working from home is becoming increasingly popular. I work from home and I love it. I don’t think I could ever work at an office again, but I must face the possibility that I may have to transfer my business into commercial premises if it keeps growing like it has in the last few years. Even if parts of my business move out of home, I’ll try to stay there myself as much as I can. The sorts of people who work from home include Brisbane web designers, SEO training consultants and travel agents.

Times are changing and working from home, particularly for the self-employed is becoming more common. It is pointless paying rent for commercial premises if it isn’t necessary. Working from home has many advantages. You can work back late without getting into strife with your family. You can “drop into the office” anytime you like. But as an accountant, there is one feature I really like, all the tax deductions! You can claim some of your household expenses on your tax return. Based on the floor area used for business purposes, you can claim mortgage interest, heating, rates, water, electricity, maintenance and the bulk of your internet bill as well as depreciation on the carpets, curtains, business furniture and so on. At the end of the financial year you will be surprised by the list of deductions.

You will also save on travel costs, wear and tear on your car and more importantly wear and tear on you, having not to deal with peak hour traffic or public transport. Not to mention picking up approximately an extra two hours per day of work when you don’t have to travel.

There is a downside to working from home. The first problem is family distractions. Kids home from school at three o’clock, a friend at the front door, phone calls for other members of the family, the list of things to do from your partner, the distractions can be endless. You also may not have the perfect workspace, or space may be limited. Work space is vitally important, you must have an area set aside purely for business, nothing else, just business. I have found that it’s best also if you can close the door on the weekends so you can “leave work”.

I think many of the perceptions of people that working from home is “unprofessional” have lapsed into history. The number of major companies that allow their workers to work from home via computers has increased enormously in recent times.

“Outsourcing” has become a commonly used term and this has brought about a spate of self-employed former workers, most of them working from home.

The other problem that many people working from home suffer is motivation and discipline. You must start work everyday just as you would if you were employed by someone else. ST300309

Ford FPV in Oz, and Jaguar in the UK introduce hot new models

Posted by admin on Mar 28, 2009 in Main Content

In Australia, there is the usual tussle between Ford and Holden-GM, both on the tracks in the Super V8 series, and also in the showrooms. Recently, Holden as been on top, thanks to its new Commodore VE Series (Pontiac GR8 in the USA).

Now, Ford has introduced its new Falcon, the FG series, which like the Commodore retains rear-wheel drive. Just announced are the power outputs and details of the Falcon FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) which for the first time will be badged as FPV, not Ford.

Hot turbo six

Ford has uprated the two FPV engines – a turbocharged 4.0 liter 24-valve in-line six, and a 5.4 liter 32-valve V-8 – to really crank out some power. Although the V-8, which has cylinder heads produced in Australia, and mostly new internals, normally steals the show, the in-line six could well be the best road car.

FPV has upgraded the suspension, and added stability control to its models, to cope with the power. This is a new double wishbone suspension all round, which provides god ride and handling

The turbo six now develops 415 bhp at 5,500 rpm, with 417 lb ft (565 Nm) torque, which is available from 1,950-5,200 rpm, the fat torque curve being up there with the latest European turbo engines. Nor is the specific power output of 103 bhp per liter to be sniffed at. This looks a super engine, that make the FPV F6 fly, the small deficit in power compared with the V-8 being more than made up for by the wide spread of tire-squealing torque.

On the road, the new Ford FPV F6 muscle car is a super car, with ride comfort to rival a Jaguar – well they used to be in the same stable – an ultra-responsive engine mated to ZF’s super six-speed auto; the same one that Jaguar uses. Not only that, but this new Ford FPV handles really well – better than the Holdens – and flicks the tail out when you accelerate hard, especially in the wet. A great car.

The pity of it is that Ford has cancelled plans to build another rear-drive sedan in its new global business plan – killed off by the recession. But at least Ford will probably still be around in 2015.

Larger Jaguar supercharged V-8

Incidentally, Jaguar, now under Indian ownership, which is bleating at the British government to try to get some financial help to keep the company going, has just released the latest version of the Jaguar XKR supercar, which is powered by a brand-new supercharged V-8 engine. This new engine includes a supercharger that not only uses very little power and is silent – a pity, that – but it also produces masses of torque from 2,000 rpm upward. Maximum power is 510 bhp. Already the new Jaguar, along with the XFR sedan, which gets the same engine, is causing quite a stir and more sales than last year! Which shows that if you supply what people want you can make money in a recession. By the way, the XFR was timed over the salt flats in the USA at 225 mph!
